You: S3: E1 And They Lived Happily Ever After
I have been a fan of Penn Badgeley a.k.a., Joe Goldberg since Gossip Girl. I started watching Gossip Girl because of him and now that's a thing of the past, I found myself swiftly moving on this psychotic TV show and getting hooked to it every time a new season came out. Now that Season 3 has been released and although every cell in my body is tempted to binge-watch it in one day, I am going to stop and appreciate the story in its entirety. Watching just one episode a day is so not me, especially involving psychopathic main characters.
To lay down my assumptions on the table, I found it fascinating that Joe found a partner that is equally terrifying and magnetic as him. Even though many people might hate Love Quinn, the partner Joe is now stuck with, I, for one find it fitting. Not in a he-deserves-it kind of way, but he-should-have-seen-it-coming kind of way. After all, you reap what you sow.
This episode's highlight is the narration by Joe. All the episodes were previously narrated as well, but there's something sophisticated about this one. The choice of words and sentences is more mature and evolved. The literary references are interesting too. And of course, someone gets murdered at the end of the episode (Duh!) and it's more likely that it is the person you do not anticipate.
I love playing the game of Victim, Foe, and Friend while watching this one. Never ceases to entertain you.
Ciao!
